The Northwest Adventist African American Local Elders Federation is a voluntary association of pastors and elders who are concerned about the growth of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in all its facets, but especially the work for, by and to African Americans.

NAAALEF was founded in 1987 in the Washington Conference of Seventh-day Adventist as a mechanism to draw elders within the conference together into unity for spiritual, cultural, educational and social well being. NAAALEF has subsequently expanded to encompass the North Pacific Union and now has an active chapter in the Oregon Conference as well.

NAAALEF has two focuses on both spiritual development and social advocacy. Our spiritual focus has been to provide opportunities for elders to fellowship, recreate, and develop skills that will increase their effectiveness in their roles as spiritual leaders in their churches. Our spiritual focus has been to provide opportunities for elders to fellowship, recreate, and develop skills that will increase their effectiveness in their roles as spiritual leaders in their churches. NAAALE’s advocacy has been instrumental in advocating and influencing selection of pastors for vacancies; placing church members, elders, and pastors in key positions on committees, boards, and commissions to represent and advocate for our membership and effect policy that supports the growth and development of regional churches within the North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventist.
Annual Dues
